Brass Teaching Specialist
Centre for Musical Arts (CMA) is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, flexible and enthusiastic Brass Teaching Specialist to join their team from 4 January 2025.
CMA offers one to one private instrumental lessons at their Centre based in the heart of Dubai and a peripatetic music service to schools. We are seeking candidates with a proven track record of teaching their main instrument. The ability to teach other/multiple instruments will be highly considered.
This will be a 2 year full-time contract. The successful candidate will have a 5-day working week with a minimum of 20 hours teaching. Centre for Musical Arts fully recognises its responsibilities for child protection, and we ensure we practise safe recruitment in checking the suitability of staff and to work with children. Employment at CMA is subject to DBS checks.
Requirements
The successful candidate will:
Have the ability to teach across all brass instruments.
Have experience teaching within a British or International School/Music Service
Hold a Music Degree in Performance & Teaching or equivalent
Have excellent knowledge of music exams (ABRSM, Trinity etc) and Music Theory
Experience with ensembles or youth orchestra/wind band.
Be very well organised, highly motivated and a team player
Be an excellent communicator and have good English speaking and writing skills
Have a love for your instrument and be passionate about music
Desirable
Holder of a driving licence
Knowledge of Musical Teaching Software and be IT literate / knowledge of Google Drive
Ability to accompany your students on piano will be highly considered
Ability to teach a second instrument and/or piano
Allowances & Benefits
Visa, tax free monthly salary of Dhs 8,000 + commission (up to Dhs 16,000), private medical insurance, 6 weeks annual paid leave.
