Audinot and Mozzani violins, Dignan and Grunke violin bows, Musafia cases

Stolen: 04 Jun 2024 - Henderson, Nevada, US

Please alert any dealer or shop to be looking out for these violins and for others that were recently stolen by other shops in the US by the same thief. Also, be especially careful not to be victimized yourself as a business by sending instruments on trial without an exceedingly thorough vetting process. We wish all of you well in the music world! Description of Instrument:
Violin by Nestor Audinot, Paris 1881, Violin by Luigi Mozzani, Cento 1927, Violin Bow by Thomas Dignan, Violin Bow by Richard Grunke, Violin Bow stamped "Lavest" from the firm of Jerome Thibouville Lamy, 3 Violin cases by Musafia, Cremona. These instruments were shipped on approval to Henderson, NV on June 4, 2024. It was soon learned that this person was operating under the identity of Marcus Povinelli whose identity was stolen. Mr Povinelli was contacted and notified by us of the circumstances. His identity was stolen a year ago. At least three other shops in the US have been victimized at approximately the same time frame of June 4th 2024. Please watch for further postings from other shops.
