Püchner Model 23 bassoon (SN 84**)

I am selling my Püchner Model 23 bassoon (SN 84**) that I have been playing since spring 2019 with great success and pleasure. This instrument has taken me to the finals of many auditions and also won me my first permanent orchestral position in Kotka, Finland. The bassoon was completely overhauled by Markus Meyer in Nürnberg in summer 2021 and maintained again in summer 2023 by Erkki Suomalainen in Helsinki. It is in great playing condition, the left thumb A key was enlarged to ease fingerings, the bass joint cork has been replaced with thread for increased resonance, and the middle register was adjusted to sit lower in pitch to counteract the Püchner usual tendency. The bassoon comes with a nylon Marcus Bonna case (bought new in 2024) as well as two Püchner bocals, a Heckel VCC 1 bocal and a Bell bocal. Selling because of an instrument upgrade.
