Two 19th century bassoons for sale

Price: $2000 USD
Anonymous German Bassoon, ca. 1890-1900

17-key Heckel-System instrument. Very nicely made bassoon. The maker is a mystery.

No bocal included, but works well with a 0 or 1 length modern bocal. I have also tested with pre-war bocals and they work very well.

Suitable for performance of late Romantic repertoire. Pitch A-438-440. Lovely warm sound, and using harmonic fingerings plays up to high F!

$2000 or best offer

Due to the ivory bell ring, I can only ship to US buyers. My apologies.

Frédéric Triebert bassoon, ca. 1860-1870

Purchased from the Richard Abel collection. Repadded using period-style “ball” pads. Rosewood wing joint, other joints maple.

Bocal key unfortunately broke off in shipping. Will need to be reattached by a competent tech, but that should not be a difficult repair.

With a bocal, apparently original, though unmarked. Pitch A-435.

$2000 or best offer

Happy to provide additional information/pictures, and answer any questions.
