19th century French bass

Attributed to Thibouville-Lamy, this is a lovely old 19th century French flatback bass, which has been played in many major uk orchestras for the last decade. It has a particularly attractive back and sides, with gorgeous varnish. The C extension was added by Roger Dawson, who also extended the fingerboard. This is a wonderful orchestral instrument which blends well in the section, but also holds its own for solo playing.
The string length is 108cm.
