Oboe Teacher

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational oboe teacher with an enthusiastic and inclusive approach to educating young musicians.
This role, offered on a self-employed contract, is expected to involve delivering 2.5 hours of individual oboe tuition per week, with the potential to expand. It may include some ensemble leading, depending on departmental needs and the experience of the successful candidate.
Our music centre is based at Morley College, near London Waterloo, and teaching takes place on 10 Saturdays per term (30 per academic year).
CYM offers music provision to talented young people from all backgrounds in a thriving musical environment. As a Centre for Advanced Training under the Department for Education’s National Grant for Music and Dance, CYM is a key provider of instrumental, vocal and ensemble tuition in London. Our Saturday school and holiday courses offer a sustained and progressive route from the early stages of learning through to music college entrance. Children start on our primary years programme (age 5 upwards) progressing to the full programme (aged 8 to 18).
Interviews will take place on Thursday 27th March 2025 with a view to a start in September 2025.
