Pietro Antonio Landolfi in Milan in 1778.
Stolen: 19 Jan 2009 - Machold Rare Violins
The violin was under consignment to be sold, but the consignment was ended at the date of January 19, 2009. The instrument however was not given back. The dealer - Machold Rare Violins - went bankrupt and the director was arrested in 2010 in Switzerland.
楽器の簡潔な記述:
In the hope that justice and the police would continue to do their excellent work, I have waited informing the musical community about one of the instruments that was stolen from me. Now however it’s been some years ago and the person doing it has been sentenced to prison, without revealing to whom he has given (or sold) my instrument.
It concerns a violin made by Pietro Antonio Landolfi in Milan in 1778. Photos of the instrument taken from one of the certificates in my possession I uploaded here.
Who will ever help me find the instrument will, after I assured repossession, be generously rewarded.
