Cello:
Beautiful old German Cello c.1850

Beautiful old German cello appraised c1850-possibly older. Has had a neck and scroll graft in the past. It has its original scroll.
LOB 73.3 cm, a "ladies" cello and a small 4/4 size with a string length of 69cm. It is a Stainer model with extremely high arching. It is a lovely instrument and comfortable to play.
It has a smooth, even, resonant, sweet mellow tone; a straight Belgian bridge and Larsen Magnacore Arioso strings.It is well-set up and easy to play.
This cello has been well-maintained and looked-after across the ages. I have receipts and it has some labels inside. It has a few previous repairs, which have been done excellently and is in great playing condition.
It has been checked over by my luthier before selling.
This cello has served me well, in quartets and as my teaching cello.
