Modesto Balue double bass from the year 1920/1930
Short scale 102cm.
Ideal for soloists and musicians with small hands
The top is made of solid spruce.
Maple back and sides
The wood spike is threaded and made of wood (it is the original)
Fits German Flexocor Pirastro strings
It therefore has an orchestral tuning (it is offered to change it to a modern one…more suitable for playing Jazz or other styles, for example)
The master luthier Gonzalo Pieters restored it(so it is currently in optimal condition)
Originally, it has 3 strings. The 4a was added decades ago.
Soft Gigbag is included
