For sale is a 5/8 Double Bass made by Jim Reck.
I have owned this wonderful Double Bass, which has been my primary instrument for the last fifteen years. Jim Reck made it for his daughter, Marin, and it was modeled after one of Diana Gannett's basses. The bass has violin points, a flat back, and wide shoulders. Robertson's Violin Shop installed a C-extension in 2016. The sale includes an instrument stand, two German bows with double bow case, Onyx bass wheel, and a soft black CUSHY travel case.
This bass has served me well in orchestras and excels as a solo instrument. It has a smooth and full tone to the bass and is a joy to play. This is a beautiful instrument that deserves to be played. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
