価格: £14000
A very good example, in fine condition, of this popular and well established Hawkes & Son model.
Could be either German or English - they were made in both countries.
It has a rich and bold sound with a luscious bloom, and is even in all registers + pizzi is punchy and resonant.
This one has recently undergone an ‘all issues’ restoration + upgrade. Not an unusual requirement for an instrument that is over a hundred years old..
Including: new fingerboard, neck optimisation & reset, new bass bar, + new adjustable bridge, old cracks re-repaired + new cracks repaired. (Full details available on request)
Work and setup done by the well-respected and talented English luthier, Jerome Davies.
A new David Gage Realist pickup has been fitted.
Current strings are Pirastro Evah Pirazzi mediums.
String length 42 inches (102cm)
Length of back 45 inches (114cm)
