Principal Second Violin

Applications are invited for the position of Principal Second Violin with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. The position is full-time and permanent.
The panel is looking for a candidate who:
• Inspires as a musician of the highest calibre
• Demonstrates awareness of the musical space, within the section, other string principals, and the rest of the orchestra
• Leads the section in a supportive and inspiring manner
• Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and can negotiate both leading the section and working with all principals.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Auditions will be held in Glasgow (23 June) and London (22 June). Auditions will be held in multiple rounds on the same day, so candidates should be available for the full day of their audition.
