is arranging
SUBSTITUTE AUDITION PRINCIPAL VIOLA
AND VIOLA TUTTI
The audition is held at Turku Concert Hall on Mon 26.5.2025 starting at 16:00 (4 pm).
From this audition we are searching for a substitute / substitutes to Principal Viola position for season fall 2025 – spring 2026 and also short term gig-based substitutes for viola tutti.
Audition repertoire
- F. A. Hoffmeister or A. Stamitz: Viola Concerto, 1st mvt (without cadenza)
Orchestral excerpts / Tutti and Principal substitute
- J. Brahms: Symphony No. 4, 4th mvt
- P. Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 6, 1st mvt
Orchestral excerpts / Principal Viola substitute only:
- A. Dvořák: Symphony No. 1, 2nd mvt
- M. Ravel: Ma mère l’oye (Mother Goose), 5th mvt
- R. Strauss: Don Juan Op. 20
