Vacancy: Principal Conductor of the Youth Symphony Orchestra “Ne Prosto Orchestra”
Location:
Kazakhstan, Almaty and other cities across Kazakhstan
Working Hours:
• Core schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM • Rehearsals: 3-4 times a week from 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM (with time compensation within the core schedule)
About Us:
The Youth Symphony Orchestra "Ne Prosto Orchestra" performs soundtracks, music from films, anime, and TV series, organizing concerts in these genres. We are committed to high-quality performance and creating captivating concert programs that inspire and move audiences.
We are looking for a conductor who:
• Possesses stage presence, artistry, and charisma • Can work in detail with the orchestra, preparing materials for rehearsals and concerts • Can propose creative ideas and develop new concert programs
Responsibilities:
• Conducting rehearsals and concerts with the orchestra • Preparing and selecting repertoire • Adapting and collaborating with the arranger to optimize the scores • Optimizing the orchestra's lineup for performances in other cities • Conducting concerts at major venues across Kazakhstan, including the Palace of the Republic (2,500 seats) and other venues with a capacity of 2,000 seats or more
Candidate Requirements:
• Professional music education • Experience working with symphony or youth orchestras • Proficiency in conducting techniques • Experience in film music and soundtracks is a plus
