Canadian pianist Connie Shih is considered one of the foremost chamber musicians. Proclaimed by the Strad as “utterly mesmerising”, Shih “collaborates in ways most musicians can only dream about” ( Boston Musical Intelligencer).
In the 2024/25 season, Shih recorded a new CD with longtime partner Steven Isserlis on a 1851 Erard piano for Hyperion/Decca which will be released later this year. Tours have taken her to China, Japan, North America, Italy and England, highlighted by six performances in Wigmore Hall celebrating Faure’s centenary.
In June, she will continue her chamber music collaborations with various artists such as Julianne Banse, Christoph Poppen, Veronika Eberle.
Previously, Shih has worked regularly with artists such as Maxim Vengerov, Isabelle Faust, Joshua Bell, Sir Simon Keenlyside and Tabea Zimmermann, Janine Jansen and performs in all the major venues of the world.
