CPI Summer Conducting Seminar with Markand Thakar

In this day of a pervasive superficiality, we offer the possibility of going deep: building your technique and musicianship from the ground up.

Our teaching is guided by the goal of creating the most moving, most beautiful transcendent experience. In the process we build technique, starting with freeing the arms from unnecessary tensions.

With Markand Thakar, internationally renowned pedagogue and a Celibidache protege, CPI offers the full gamut: musicianship studies; daily ensembles, technique, group conversations, & video reviews; plus career counseling with Henry Fogel.

Fellows conduct our professional musicians for over three hours, in works by Beethoven, Stravinsky, Mozart, & Schumann, et al.; and receive video to use freely. Associates participate fully in all, with limited conducting.
