Principal 5th Horn

The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra – the UK’s oldest – is a critically-acclaimed ensemble, central to Liverpool’s cultural offering. We are currently looking for a Principal 5th Horn to join the Orchestra. As a professional musician with exceptional orchestral, chamber and solo playing abilities and broad repertoire knowledge, you’ll be responsible for participating in a positive atmosphere within the section, supporting the Section Leader and playing other horn parts as required, proactively exploring opportunities for training and personal development, and representing the Orchestra at donor events. If you’re an organised and positive team player with extensive orchestral experience, we’d love to hear from you.

Principal Role:
• To perform as Principal Fifth Horn with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in a range of musical styles and genres, orchestra and ensemble size
• To have excellent orchestral, chamber and solo playing abilities, maintaining this to the highest musical standards
• To perform in the Orchestra at venues throughout the UK and on foreign tours, involving regular evening and weekend working
