The Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Rossen Milanov, Music Director, announces auditions for the Principal Trombone.

The deadline for submitting recordings is March 15, 2025.
The live auditions will take place at Chautauqua, NY, on Sunday, July 27, 2025.
The Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra offers a minimum of 52 services over an eight-week summer season from the end of June to the end of August. The orchestra typically performs three different programs per week from the major symphonic repertoire as well as pops, and collaborates with the opera, dance and theater departments. Founded in 1929, the CSO is the professional orchestra of the Chautauqua Institution, a haven for the arts, literature, philosophy, recreation and religious studies located on beautiful Chautauqua Lake in Western NY State. Chautauqua Institution celebrated its 150th Anniversary in summer 2024.
The 2024 base pay rate was $10,556 plus a $7,100 Professional Maintenance Allowance (housing), travel reimbursement, AFM pension and additional benefits.
