Position
The vacancy is for the position Principal Cello.
As a member of our orchestra you will regularly rehearse and perform in Arnhem and Enschede, and perform throughout Gelderland, Overijssel and beyond.

Profile
You are an excellent cellist with distinguished qualities in solo and orchestral repertoire as well as in chamber music. You have a professional and flexible work ethic and radiate enthusiasm on stage.

You have excellent communication and leadership skills. You are focused on enhancing and maintaining the orchestra’s mutual collaboration and development in close cooperation with the (chief) conductor and other leaders. It is important that you like to be responsible for the functioning and sound of the cello group.

Working for Phion is more than playing on stage: we expect our musicians to take part in meetings and be proactive in different ways fitting your own ambitions. We also expect and facilitate our musicians to invest in their professional development, both on and off stage.
