Double bass by Ernest Lant 1974

This Testore model double bass was made for Russell Wright, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, by Ernest Lant in 1974. It has a C extension and has undergone minor and sympathetic renovation, most recently by Martyn Bailey. It is relatively small, but with a well-rounded and beautiful orchestral sound - a delight to play and hear.
