A fine violin, C.18th

For sale is this beautiful violin from the 18th century. The instrument possesses a large, rich and colourful sound, with a real sense of evenness across the whole range: rich in the bass end, but sweet and with a quick response in the higher register. A versatile instrument, it has been used for solo recitals, in orchestral and chamber settings. The violin has a deep, red varnish.

The violin bears no label and professionals opinions have included both German and French attributions. With such ambiguity the price is lower than one might expect for an instrument of this quality and with such a fine sound.
