Altus AL-RBE

A beautiful instrument with a remarkably powerful, full sound & wide range of colours. Formerly owned by Stefan Hoskuldsson (now Chicago Symphony principal), I bought this flute in New York ten years ago and have used it professionally since then. I paired it with a Miguel Arista headjoint (also available), though it also plays extremely well with the Altus one supplied. I am selling only because I have found another AL that suits me slightly better.

The AL model is built by Altus to emulate the sound of the classic Louis Lot flutes, handmade with a seamed tube and unique .946 Altus Silver. This gives an amazing complexity and versatility of sound & is the choice of many leading professionals.

Inline G, E mechanism, B foot & open holes. The flute was serviced last month by Ian McLauchlan at Just Flutes so is in superb condition and working order.
