Ulster Orchestra
Tutti Cello (2 positions)
We are recruiting for two accomplished musicians to join our Cello Section, with availability for one full-time and one job-share position (50%).
In addition to orchestral work, you will have the opportunity to be involved in a range of non-platform activities, including diverse Learning and Community Engagement activities and chamber music playing, as well as creating and leading your own non-orchestral activity.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate musical excellence with the ability to play at a professional orchestral level and a commitment to delivering a high standard of work at all times.
Ideally, you will have experience of performing in symphony orchestras. However, we are committed to identifying and developing new talent and so we are also excited to hear from candidates who are in the early stages of their career and can clearly show potential to fulfil the role.
Initial applications for these posts must be made no later than 16th February 2025 and applications received after this date cannot be considered. Full details of the position along with guidance on the application and selection process can be found in the recruitment pack which you can download below.
The Ulster Orchestra strives to be fully representative of all demographical aspects of society and to offer a truly inclusive working environment. We are committed to equality of opportunity and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates, irrespective of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. Within this context we particularly encourage applications from people with disabilities, LGBTQI+, Black, Asian and other global majority backgrounds, and those from backgrounds of social and economic deprivation.
Appointments will be made on merit with openness and transparency of process.
