THE NEW YORK PHILHARMONIC
Announces the following vacancies:

VIOLIN – 5 positions

These positions are in the Second Violin section with rotations into the First Violin section as needed.

All candidates have the choice of playing a live preliminary audition in New York or sending a recording of your preliminary audition. The repertoire is the same for both options. You will be asked to indicate your preference between a live or recorded preliminary audition when submitting your application.

Due to the limited availability of David Geffen Hall, some applicants who wish to play a live preliminary audition may be asked to submit a recorded audition. If we cannot accommodate a live audition, we will notify you by Thursday, January 30, 2025.

Application Deadline: Wednesday, January 22, 2025
Deadline to Submit Recorded Preliminary Audition: Thursday, February 20, 2025
Live Preliminary Auditions: Monday, February 24, Sunday, March 9 & Monday, March 10, 2025
Semi-Final Auditions: Friday, March 14, 2025
Final Auditions: Saturday, March 15, 2025

Employment will commence by mutual agreement based upon the winning candidate’s availability and the New York Philharmonic schedule.

Base scale is $171,205.06 for the 52-week 2024-2025 season.
