U.S. Naval Academy Band - Commercial Trumpet

The United States Naval Academy Band announces a vacancy for Commercial Trumpet with the ability to play lead trumpet, section ceremonial trumpet, and to improvise. The winning candidate will perform with Ceremonial/Marching Units and Popular Music Groups. The audition will be held on October 14, 2024. The audition committee reserves the right to dismiss any candidate not meeting the highest professional standards. Candidates have two options for participating in the preliminary round: 1) live, in-person audition, or 2) submitted audio recording. All eligible applicants who confirm attendance via email will receive a designated report time one week prior to the audition.

To be considered for an audition, applicants must submit a one-page resume to auditions@usna.edu by Monday, September 30, 2024. The live audition will take place at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. All travel arrangements and expenses are the responsibility of the candidate. Active duty musicians from all branches of the U.S. military must
also send a letter of endorsement from their Commanding Officer.
