All applicants are to provide a digital audition (each Audio Visual file must be in one continuous, unedited take) and submit their files to Musical Chairs Applicant Suite before the deadline.
All applicants will be heard.
All submissions will be unscreened.

Please note, WNO are seeking to expand their pool of viola players across all positions within the section, if you wish to apply for any Numbered Positions, please find the relevant advert.

You may submit applications for both Tutti and Numbered Positions and use the same concerto video if you wish.

file 1:
Viola Concerto in D major, Op.1 (Stamitz, Carl Philipp) – Exposition only – unaccompanied
OR
Viola Concerto in D major (Hoffmeister, Franz Anton) – Exposition only – unaccompanied
file 2. Prepared excerpts

Job Description
• To play within the WNO Viola section for the orchestra’s operatic, symphonic and chamber remit.
• Adhere to WNO’s company policies and relevant health and safety legislation.

Person Specification
Skills, knowledge and experience:
• A high standard of technical instrumental skill, musicality, and performance.*
• Experience of playing with professional opera/ballet/symphony orchestras
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good communication skills.
*Denotes essential attributes.
