Blue Danube Opera Conducting Masterclass 2024 (II)

Limited to 8 conductors who rehearse and perform fully-staged and costumed productions with State Opera Stara Zagora/Bulgaria -- Gaetano Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore on (12.09.24); Pietro Mascagni's Cavalleria rusticana on (17.09.24); and Ruggero Leoncavallo's Pagliacci, also on (17.09.24). Each opera receives a cast rehearsal w/piano; an orchestra rehearsal, a chorus rehearsal w/piano; a stage rehearsal w/piano; a Sitzprobe/Italiana (soloists and chorus on stage with orchestra in the pit); a tutti dress rehearsal and a public performance, all under the guidance of the house's chief conductor and music director, Ivaylo Krinchev. Conductors use their extensive podium time as they wish, on one, two or all three operas. Since 2002, our Opera Conducting training in Romanian and Bulgarian repertoire opera houses has probably been the best in the world. Auditors (passive participants) are also welcome. The house's fully-professional choir, orchestra, pianists, and vocal soloists take part.
