Chetham’s School of Music is seeking a Music Timetable and Administration Officer to join the internationally renowned specialist music school located in Manchester city centre. Chetham’s is a magical place, home to the UK’s largest specialist music school, the oldest library in the English speaking world and a world-class concert venue all in the heart of Manchester.
The Job
• Chetham’s School of Music seeks a highly organised and entirely dependable Music Timetable and Administration Officer. You will take responsibility for scheduling the weekly instrumental timetables for the UK’s largest specialist music school and also administratively support the Head of Keyboard.
• You will demonstrate logic and problem solving skills in abundance and will have a student focused approachability in manner.
• This is a role which works altered hours throughout the year, mapping the needs of the students of the school. Anticipated hours will be 28 to 32 hours per week for 37 weeks per annum with 14 ad-ditional supporting days delivered as required throughout the year
• Term time working hours need to cover Monday to Friday, with hours scheduled within the main school day (8.30am – 5.30pm). Flexibility on how hours are structured can be negotiated (e.g. four day working). This role is suited to limited hybrid working (c. one day per week from home).
• Non term time hours can be worked with greater flexibility – at the discretion of the Music Depart-ment Manager – but need to fulfil the demands and deadlines in accordance with the role.
• Start date April 2025 subject to recruitment checks.

• Salary Scale Point 17-19, £19,298 to £19,991 per annum (FTE £27,968 to £28,972 per annum)
