Orchestra Transition Manager

About the role
English National Ballet is seeking an Orchestra Transition Manager to provide additional support over the next 3 months, while we commence recruitment for a successor to our current Orchestra Administration Manager, who has announced their intention to retire early next calendar year. The work is offered on a part time basis (two days a week on average) as a short, fixed term contract.
Responsibilities
•Development of a comprehensive set of handover documentation for the Orchestra Administration Manager role, based on consultation and engagement with all key stakeholders
•Development of comprehensive notes on the orchestration for the classics and up-coming production in the ENB programming to provide a reliable reference tool when planning revivals
•Development of a guide to requirements for working in the pit at each of the regular touring venues, including transport and logistics for all rehearsals and performances
•Development of any additional templates or process notes as required for booking players, register lists and payroll data
Key Selection Criteria
•Experience of working with different orchestras for Orchestra management and administration, including sourcing players at short notice
•Strong administration skills including numeracy and use of Excel
•Ability to develop clear and comprehensive documentation and make revisions as needed
•Good listening skills and ability to engage and consult with stakeholders
