Pair (Bb and A) of Yamaha CX clarinets
Stolen: 25 Jan 2015 - 09:45 Left on tube train when exiting (distracted by gathering up reading matter into backpack in a hurry) - Southband Northern Line train at Moorgate
Immediately after realising I had left the clarinet case on the train, I rushed upstairs to the ticket barrier and reported what had happened to the staff. They telephoned to all the stations down the line (from Bank to Morden). Later that day I reported the loss on line to the Transport for London Lost Property Offiice. Received email on 19.2.15 to say property had not been found and that the case had been closed. The only conclusion must be that somebody saw the case on the train, took it away and has retained or disposed of it and its contents dishonestly.
Description de l'instrument:
Bb has repaired crack in upper section. Record of serial numbers unfortunately mislaid but they would be about 25 years old. BAM Trekking double case. Contents include three mouthpieces, including Vandoren Crystal; two barrels (standard Yamaha plus unknown 'fat boy' in grenadilla); Howarth wooden glass-bed reed case (holds 10 or more); RG (or similar) ligature with interchangeable metal inserts; reed cutter; folder of orchestral 2nd clarinet parts (London International Orchestra: Bernstein Candide Overture, Rach symph no 2, Borodin Polovstian Dances); little book on clarinet fingerings; business cards and sticker of David Fingerhut w/w repairer; (possibly) sticker or other ID (e.g. emails) of Thomas Radice; folding instrument stand (fits inside bell); small pair of pliers; jeweller's screwdriver(s), small spanner and craft knife in homemade felt pouch.
