I’m selling my beloved Thomas Martin 4/4 double bass, crafted in 1999. This bass holds a unique legacy: it’s labeled No. 13 and was the first instrument built in Thomas Martin’s atelier in Henley, making it a rare and historic piece.
Originally commissioned for a player in the Metropolitan Orchestra in New York, this bass later served in the Valencia Orchestra before I acquired it 10 years ago to perform jazz and contemporary music.
With its deep, generous sound and stunning craftsmanship, this double bass is an exceptional instrument for both orchestral and solo performances.
