For sale is my full-size English violin made by Charles Harris (senior) circa 1780.Branded Harris below the button and signed three times internally by Charles Harris to the lower ribs, lower back and the upper part of the table.This fine violin is based on a Nicolo Amati full-size pattern with a back length of 35.1 cms.The measurements of this violin are,back length 35.1 cms,neck length 130 mm and the stop length is 195 mm.Constructed with a fine grain two piece front and a prominently flamed two piece back.This violin is in excellent playing condition producing a deep mellow tone which is even on all strings a fine sounding instrument. Sold with a good quality case.
