The Opera Australia Orchestra seeks an outstanding musician to fill the permanent position of Section Leader and Principal Trumpet.
Audition dates:
Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 August 2025
Applicants must be available on both days
Audition repertoire requirements:
- Henri Tomasi: Trumpet Concerto, 1st movement – without cadenza
- Théo Charlier: Etude No. 2
- Orchestral excerpts provided to candidates on Monday, 21 July
Remuneration package:
Starting from $121,717 including superannuation and base allowances
Residency requirements:
This position is open to Australian and New Zealand Citizens and
Australian Permanent Residents only
