Interpretation in Opera 1 (MA level)

This course is aimed at deepening your skills in opera, regarding singing, musical interpretation and characterization.
You will have individual singing lessons and musical interpretation for your roles and audition repertoire with coaches from both the Academy of Music and Drama and from the Göteborg Opera. You work individually with role interpretation with an opera director, and you have group lessons in dance and movement. Together with other opera students, you also participate in masterclasses, and sometimes you will be offered a role in one of the academy's opera productions.
The course is examined through a public staged concert, or in an opera production. Also see the continuation course Interpretation in Opera 2.
