21st International Friedrich Kuhlau Flute Competition

The International Friedrich Kuhlau Flute Competition is dedicated to the German-Danish composer Friedrich Kuhlau, born in Uelzen in 1786. The competition, first announced in 1970, is organized by the Kulturkreis Uelzen in cooperation with the Hanseatic City of Uelzen.
Categories
I: Flute Solo (unaccompanied)
II: Ensemble Two Flutes and Piano
III: Ensemble Three or Four Flutes or Ensemble Three to Five Instruments with at least One Flute (NEW!!)
Soloists and ensembles of all nationalities are welcome to participate without pre-selection. There is an age limit – please check the conditions of the competition (~16-35 years).
Competition fee: €65 (upon participation)
Three prizes are available in each category, with a maximum total of €13,800.
