The Gorzów Philharmonic Artistic Education Centre is the youngest cultural institution in Gorzów Wielkopolski and one of the youngest symphony orchestras in Poland. It was a long-awaited project in the Lubuskie Province and one of the most spectacular and unconventional investments in Poland in the past years.
Established in the years 2009 – 2011 within the scope of the project entitled "The Development of the Gorzów Philharmonic Artistic Education Centre", it was funded by the city of Gorzów with financial support from the European Union under the Regional Operational Programme for the Lubuskie Province.
In the history of Poland after the year 1989, a philharmonic hall and orchestra built from scratch constitute an unprecedented event.
Due to its great concert offer and unconventional architectural concept, it is currently one of the most interesting and attractive places in the city. The superb acoustics of the hall makes it one of the best places in Poland for concert music aficionados. Due to the state-of-the-art technology and solutions, the population of the region, as well as tourists from Poland and abroad can participate in the rich and versatile musical and cultural life of Europe, and artists can practise and perform in the best working conditions.
