The English Music Festival
Fund-raiser
The English Music Festival, one of the UK’s most exciting and ground-breaking classical music festivals, is seeking a fund-raiser to help us build our activities and to enable us to explore new directions.
What we are looking for:
The English Music Festival currently raises most of its income from private individuals known to the Festival, from its Friends’ Scheme, from ticket sale income and from composer Societies, Trusts and Estates with which we have built up positive relations over the twenty years since the Festival’s inception. With the Festival continuing to expand and develop, we are now seeking a dedicated fund-raiser to take us to the next level by making applications to larger grant-making organisations, helping us to secure corporate sponsorship and reaching out to philanthropic music-loving individuals.
Who we are looking for:
You are an approachable, well-connected and outgoing individual with considerable experience in fund-raising for classical music and arts organisations and an established track-record of success in making applications to large grant-making organisations. You will have an innovative and imaginative approach to fund-raising and be able to pitch the Festival and its work appropriately in many different contexts and to a variety of organisations, institutions and individuals.
How to apply:
Please send a video presentation of between 1 and 2 minutes of yourself explaining why you are interested in the position and what you can bring to the role. The video should be in MP4 format and must be accompanied by a covering letter in PDF format.
Please send your letter and video presentation by email attachment or by a link to an established file-sharing service such as WeTransfer in the body of the email to em.marshall-luck@englishmusicfestival.org.uk.
