Teacher of Academic Music

Chetham’s School of Music is seeking a Teacher of Academic Music to join the internationally renowned specialist music school located in the city centre of Manchester. Chetham’s is a magical place, home to the UK’s largest specialist music school, the oldest library in the English-speaking world, and a world-class concert venue, all in the heart of Manchester.

The job

We are looking for a special person who can come and join our team of staff and students. You will need to be an outstanding teacher of music, inspirational, innovative and a team player with strengths across the range of academic music.
You will need to be able to teach from Key Stage 3 to A Level as part of a large, supportive department. You will also need to enjoy teaching young musical children and know how to motivate, challenge and support them in their musical journey.
Full-time, permanent position.
Start date September 2025 (subject to relevant checks).

Salary: Main pay spine, dependent on experience.
