Violin:

DESCRIPTION:
Back made from a half-sawn piece of maple with small flames. Small knot near the C-bout. Sides made from matching wood. Top made from two pieces of spruce with consistently small, straight growth rings on the E-side and fine growth rings at the joint, opening up to wider ones on the G-side. Additionally, faint flame patterns in the top. Scroll made from maple without flames.
The varnish is light red-brown and well preserved.
The violin is in very good condition today.
