Hello,
I am selling this beautiful pair of Brand timpani from Nürnberg g, which have been overhauled by the Berlin Timpani Workshop (Hardtke). Currently, the timpani are fitted with goatskin heads. If desired, I can also install calfskin heads!
Protective covers with Velcro have been custom-made for the drumheads. These timpani, manufactured by Brand in Nuremberg, are patented and an absolute rarity. They were built around 1910.
Despite the copper kettles, they are easy to transport, as the legs are foldable. The unique feature of these timpani is the pedal with an attached pitch scale, which can be folded up for transport.
The Brand timpani, or rather the pedal system, was a pioneer for many companies like Fiedler, Ludwig, Premier, and others. Everything works perfectly. These timpani have a clear, percussive sound and are especially suitable for Baroque and early classical music.
