No. 3 Horn playing Principal as required & Extra Work, high and low

The Philharmonia is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Number 3 horn, playing Principal as required. In addition we are accepting applications for both high and low players to be included on the orchestra’s extra work list.

The Philharmonia is a world-class symphony orchestra for the 21st century, led by Principal Conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali and our titled conductors; Marin Alsop & Esa-Pekka Salonen. Based in London at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall, leading a busy international touring schedule and resident in cities and at festivals across the UK as well as streaming online, the Philharmonia creates thrilling performances for a global audience.

Auditions will be held at the Philharmonia Offices, 6 Chancel Street, London, on Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 May, 2025.

*Accompanist will be provided
*One round of auditions, not screened

If you are interested, please apply via Muvac specifying which position(s) you would like to be considered for and fill out the EDI monitoring form. You may apply for one, two or all three of the advertised audition pads.

Video auditions may be offered to applicants who for financial, geographical, or accessibility reasons cannot attend an audition in the UK during these dates.
