The Philharmonia
Joint Associate Leader and Sub Principal
The Philharmonia is seeking highly qualified candidates for the positions of Joint Associate Leader (No.2) and Sub Principal (No.4).
The Philharmonia is a world-class symphony orchestra for the 21st century, led by Principal Conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali and our titled conductors; Marin Alsop & Esa-Pekka Salonen. Based in London at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall, leading a busy international touring schedule and resident in cities and at festivals across the UK as well as streaming online, the Philharmonia creates thrilling performances for a global audience.
Requirements:
• First movement of W. A. Mozart Violin Concerto no 3 (K.216), 4 (K.218), or 5 (K.219) including cadenza
• First movement of a romantic concerto including cadenza
• Orchestral excerpts (attached)
* Accompanist will be provided
* One round of auditions, not screened
Auditions will be held at the Philharmonia Offices, 6 Chancel Street, London, on 22, 23 and 24 March 2025.
