Associate Principal Cello
Remuneration
Salary range of AUD $91,845 - &96,988 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation.
This position is open to Australian and New Zealand citizens and those with Australian permanent residency status.
Permanent full time, subject to successful completion of a 6-month trial period

Selection Process
Interested Musicians are required to submit a CV with relevant experience. Applicants shortlisted for audition will receive details regarding the audition after the closing date.
An accompanist will be provided for live auditions.
Please note: the panel may choose to invite candidates with relevant professional experience straight to a pre-trial will include two to three weeks of orchestral performances and a short recital.
Applicants unable to attend a live audition, will be encouraged to submit a recorded audition and will be provided with the requirements upon application.

Audition Requirements
Set works (to be played with piano accompaniment)
1. Haydn Cello Concerto No.2 in D major, Hob. VIIb/2 - 1st movement exposition and cadenza of your choice
2. Dvorak Cello Concerto in B minor, Op.104 - 1st movement exposition (fig.8) OR Schumann Cello Concerto in A minor, Op.129 - 1st movement exposition (fig.4)
Excerpts (to be played solo)
Excerpts will be sent through via email after applying. Please see Excerpt List document to see List of Excerpts for the audition
*Please note that QSO Office will be closed between 24th Dec and 7th Jan, any applications submitted over this time will be reviewed on Wednesday 8th January 2025.
