Section Bass
The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will host auditions for a one-year Section Bass position on September 26 and 27, 2024.
Applications and audition deposits must be received by Sept 6, 2024.
Preliminary Auditions to be held September 26th.
Semi-Final and Final Round Auditions to be held September 27th.
The audition application will be available on the ASO website effective August 15, 2024. All candidates whose applications and audition deposits are received by the application date will be invited to audition. All rounds of this audition (including the final round) will be held behind a screen. It is the intention for employment to begin as soon as possible in the 2024-2025 season.
The 2024-2025 season begins on September 8, 2024. Musicians will be paid weekly scale as appropriate to their start date, with the supplementary compensation pro-rated accordingly.
Winter Season Salary: $2199.38 per week for 42 weeks (Sept. 8, 2024 – June 28, 2025)
Summer Season Salary: $365 per week for 10 weeks (June 29, 2025 – September 6, 2025)
Supplemental Compensation: $4000 (total for the 2024/25 contract year; will be pro-rated according to the position start date)
