The Opera Australia Orchestra seeks an exceptional musician to fill the permanent position of Section Leader & Principal Percussion

Audition dates
Thursday 26 and Friday 27 September 2024
Applicants must be available on both days

Remuneration package
Starting from $121,362 including superannuation and base allowances

Repertoire requirements
• Snare Drum:
Jacques Delécluse: Étude No. 2 from Twelve Études for the Snare Drum
• Marimba:
Tchaikovsky (arr. for marimba by LH Stevens): ‘Sweet Dreams’ from Album for the Young
• Orchestral excerpts (provided to candidates on Thursday 29 August)

Residency requirements
This position is open to Australian and New Zealand Citizens and
Australian Permanent Residents only
