Orchestrating for the 21st Century

“Orchestrating for the 21st Century” Composer Workshop & Reading Session with Christopher Theofanidis is intensive, six-day workshop held during the Albany Symphony's 2025 American Music Festival that focuses on composition for the modern orchestra. Participants become fully immersed in the Festival’s new music activities and events, interacting closely with resident composers, Albany Symphony musicians, guest artists, and Music Director, David Alan Miller. The program is curated and led by GRAMMY-nominated composer Christopher Theofanidis, a professor at Yale University and composer-in-residence and co-director of the composition program at the Aspen Music Festival.
