Buchet International Cello Competition

The 2024 Buchet International Cello Competition takes place from 11-12 Nov as the official start of the 2024 Brussels Cello Festival. Following a round of video submissions, 18 candidates will be selected to compete over two live rounds in Mons, Belgium.

1st Prize « Prix Buchet » – 3.000 EUR, plus sponsored prizes including a J.P. Bernard engraved cello bow, a new GEWA cello case of the winner's choice, and three new string sets (PIRASTRO, JARGAR and LARSEN)

2nd Prize « Prix Delen Private Bank » – 2.000 EUR, plus sponsored prizes including three new string sets (PIRASTRO, JARGAR and LARSEN)

3rd Prize « Prix Amis de la BCS » – 1.000 EUR, plus sponsored prizes including three new string sets (PIRASTRO, JARGAR and LARSEN)
