Beautiful Old Baroque Violin by Johann Georg Straub Circa 1830

A beautiful old full-size Baroque violin by Johann Georg Straub labelled, see photo made circa 1830. He made violins in the town of Rothenbach (in the Black Forest) In the information I have seen, it says he was a talented violin maker and his violins make a lovely sound as does this one.
This violin is made in the baroque style having a neck length of 126 mms. The instrument has been professionally restored and now is in very good playing > condition. The instrument has no soundpost cracks on front or back, no pegbox cracks, no woodworm. There is a slight chip out of edgework which we have left. The back has been enhanced with natural and painted flame by the maker. We have set it up with Pirastro Eudoxa strings
