1st Concert Master

The Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra (FRSO) is the orchestra of the Finnish Broadcasting Company (Yle). The FRSO, a leading Scandinavian orchestra, can be heard in widely varied repertoire at its concert series in Helsinki Music Centre, on regular tours abroad and on radio, tv, internet and disc. The orchestra’s Chief Conductor is Nicholas Collon.

The FRSO now invites applications for the position of

1st Concert Master

The auditions will be held at the Helsinki Music Centre on January 17th, 2025 from 10.30 onwards and on January 18th, 2025 from 9.30 onwards. The deadline for applications is November 27th 2024, at 23.59 Finnish time.

There are two equal 1st Concert Master vacancies in the orchestra. The job-specific monthly salary for the position is €5.566,33 (with 5-year professional orchestra experience supplement €5.827,41). There is also dress and instrument allowance.

The applicant chosen for the position of the 1st Concert Master will, if they wish, have the use of a valuable Guadagnini violin (Parma, Italy ca. 1768).
