Ensemble Modern is now accepting applications to fill a full time cello position. This application is open to all nationalities and backgrounds.
About the Ensemble
Ensemble Modern is one of the world's leading ensembles for contemporary music. Based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, it currently brings together 18 soloists from eight countries. The Ensemble is known for its unique way of working and grassroots democrati c organization as well as an unmistakable programmatic range, which includes music theater, dance and video projects, chamber music, ensemble and orchestral concerts. It performs around 100 concerts worldwide every year and presents around 70 works, 20 of which are world premieres.
About the Application Process
Based on a thorough review of all applications, the members of Ensemble Modern will select candidates to join them for paid trial periods over the course of the 2025 season. Please note that members of Ensemble Modern are expected to live in the Frankfurt am Main region upon successful completion of the trial phase.
